Dates: October 8 – 10, 2021
Join Thaddeus Russell and special guests at a weekend-long retreat in the barbecue capital of Texas. The event will be held in Lockhart at the 3-acre property and home of Buck Johnson, host of the Counterflow podcast—walking distance from three world-famous barbecue joints (Black’s, Smitty’s, and Kreuz) and just 30 minutes from Austin.
Multiple episodes of the Unregistered podcast will be produced at the event, all with audience participation.
The lineup of special guests is unprecedented in its size and star-power:

- Deirdre McCloskey, Distinguished Professor Emerita of Economics and of History and Professor Emerita of English and of Communication at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and author of 24 books on economic history, rhetoric, philosophy, statistical theory, economic theory, feminism, queer studies, liberalism, ethics, law, and her experience transitioning from a man to a woman

Saturday, October 9, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM: Thad interviews Scott Horton, Hotep Jesus, Deirdre McCloskey, and Jack the Perfume Nationalist—individually and in panels—with audience participation.
Sunday, October 10, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM: Thad interviews Cody Wilson then Buck Johnson interviews Thad, all with audience participation.
